Taken By The Haunted HDMI Cable Review

Title: Taken By The Haunted HDMI Cable
Author: Shinn Lee

Oh. My. God. Where do I even start with this one?

Taken By The Haunted HDMI Cable is a short erotica ebook about a young woman who moves into a haunted house. She doesn’t believe in ghosts though. Well, that is until the HDMI cable becomes haunted and takes her!

Why a ghost would want to haunt a HDMI cable is beyond me but that’s what happened.

Sarah is a lucky lady. Her aunt and uncle sold her this beautiful house at such a great price, and all because it is haunted. Sarah does not believe in ghosts though and think her aunt and uncle are being a little silly. I think her aunt and uncle are assholes for not warning her that a HDMI cable was going to seduce her and crawl up her vagina. Because let me tell you, this ghost just wants lots of sex. At no time in the story did it try to harm Sarah or anyone else. It is just a horny ghost.

Anyway, Sarah moves into the house. Her friends help her move in but they quickly leave because they’ve seen one too many horror movies to know not to stay in a haunted house after dark. Also, we need them to go away so that we can get to the HDMI ghost sex. I mean, the ghost can’t have sex with everyone. There’s only so much HDMI cable to go around.

So, Sarah plugs in the tv and falls asleep while watching it only to wake up to find that the HDMI cable has been unplugged. Not only has it been unplugged but it is taking advantage of her!

The sex scene was not badly written but the whole concept is just so funny that I couldn’t stop laughing while reading the book. This is one of the reasons why I love erotica. Some of it is just so funny that it makes me laugh and puts me in a good mood. It might not be sexy but it’s funny.

Taken By The Haunted HDMI Cable is the type of erotica that you buy when you want a good laugh. For that, it gets a 4 out of 5.

How to Abduct a Highland Lord Review

Title: How to Abduct a Highland Lord
Author: Karen Hawkins

The MacLean family and the Kincaid family have fought each other for years and Fiona MacLean wants nothing more than for this clan feud to end once and for all. After one of her brothers is killed, Fiona knows she has to do something to stop the fighting between the two families from escalating any farther. So, she comes up with the perfect plan: She will force Black Jack Kincaid to marry her and have his child.

Of course, Fiona and Black Jack end up falling in love with each other but that's not much of a spoiler. ;)

Most of the plot is predictable but that is not such a bad thing. The writing is very good with some funny moments and banter between the two main characters sprinkled throughout the book.

This book is great if you like romance stories with a witty and headstrong woman and her dashing bad boy lover, and the theme of "marriage of convenience".

Wolf Signs Review

Title: Wolf Signs (Granite Lake Wolves #1)
Author: Vivian Arend

I got this book a little while ago when it was free on amazon kindle. I'm really glad I icked it up too! It was exactly what I was looking for.

Wolf Signs is about a young woman, named Robyn, who while camping out in the woods at a cabin discovers that she can actually transform into a wolf. Of course, she only discovers this with the help of a sexy alpha male, Keil. And it turns out that Robyn is of course destined to be Keil's mate.

And Keil really is one sexy man too. Lucky Robyn!

"Damn. Just...damn. Is that what they mean by washboard abs? Can I do some laundry?"

Robyn was supposed to go to the cabin with her brother but when he cannot make it she decides to go alone. Her brother is worried about her going alone because she is deaf but that does not stop her. It was very nice seeing a character with a disability be a kick ass character. Robyn was not just some pretty woman hanging out in the background while the men took care of everything. She knows how to take care of herself.

Irresistible Forces Review

Title: Irresistible Forces
Author: Brenda Jackson

I don't normally read Romance novels with a baby/pregnancy theme, but the digital version of this novel was free and the idea of going to a island resort for a week to have hot sex seemed like a pretty nice idea to me. So, I decided to download "Irresistible Forces". I wasn't aware that this book was part of a series but I don't think that makes too much of a difference in terms of the actual plot for this book.

I enjoyed reading this book but at the same time it was just kind of average to me. Maybe it would've been better if I was more invested in the series as a whole or more interested in baby themed romances.

The sex scenes were not bad at all. On the contrary. They were great and there were plenty of them. I also really enjoyed the premise of a week of lust and passion at a beautiful and sunny resort. Now, that's my kind of a vacation! If you enjoy baby themed romances or the author's previous work, then you will probably enjoy this book.

Come and Get Me Review

Title: Come and Get Me
Author: Alyssa Brooks

On one hand the sex was good. On the other hand, Sadie annoys the crap out of me.

Sadie, the heroine of the story, is an immature grown woman who has no problem wasting her parents money to fly around the world to have wild sex with her fiance. Her fiance that she truly, honestly loves even though she needs to continuously run away from him because of their bad sex life instead of, you know, talking to him about it. She also doesn't care, in fact she's glad, that he lost his job because he was chasing her ass around the world. Sadie was fine at the beginning of the book but by the end I was just annoyed at her and didn't like her at all. Sadie just didn't care about anyone else but herself. She didn't care how much this was going to cost her parents or how this would eventually lead to Dylan losing his job.

I wish I could not worry about money and just travel and have hot sex whenever I felt like it. That's kind of why I was drawn to this book, but Sadie's complete selfishness with everything was too annoying to read about.

But on the flip side, there were some good sex scenes in this book. There was some nice love making on the beach in Hawaii, and in Italy. Then some more BDSM-esque scenes in Cairo and the latter half of the book complete with a sexy foursome!
